The Honorary Medal of World NGO Day is a private international award presented annually, and was created in 2019. This medal is awarded to Mayors, Heads of counties, Governors and NGO leaders for their achievements in the promotion and support of sustainable development of NGO/Nonprofit sectors. The nominees have made a positive impact on local NGO/Nonprofit sectors and/or raised awareness of the World NGO day in their city, county or country.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank for the recognition of Taichung’s City efforts of the promotion of NGO. I am honoured to accept this award on behalf of Taichung City. In addition to the dedication of all my colleagues in the Taichung City Government, we feel very lucky that there are a lot of NGO organisations in this city working together to participate in the municipality projects
