Marcis has been supporting the importance of sustainable fashion in the Baltics for the last 10 years. In 2011, he and a group of professionals started to raise awareness of the importance of the fashion & textile industry in Latvia and other Baltic States. As the Chairman of the bilateral Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, he developed a new connection between the fashion & textile industries in Latvia and UK. Between 2011 and 2015, he was an active supporter of the annual event, “Baltic Fashion & Textile,”  the industry’s biggest event in the Baltics, hosted by BT1. 

In 2013, Marcis was one of the initiators and supporters of the “Nordic-Baltic Fashion & Textile Forum,” held in Riga, Latvia, with main regards to the “Sustainability and New Markets.” The Forum gathered together the great minds and experts of fashion, and opened up new opportunities to build a sustainable and profitable fashion industry. Marcis believes in sustainable fashion and continues to support new fashion brands abroad.
