M arcis Liors Skadmanis is a Latvian-born British tech entrepreneur, philanthropist and angel investor based in both the UK and the USA (Beverly Hills, CA), primarily focusing on AI technology and developing niche marketing solutions for hospitality brands and high-street retail. With over a decade of hands-on experience in business operations and the tech industry, his expertise spans corporations, hospitality, and future technology.

Internationally known for philanthropic advocacy, Marcis takes pride in founding World NGO Day. This unique celebration stands as the only decentralized international day dedicated to NGOs and nonprofits, observed annually on February 27th in more than 89 countries.

Currently, Marcis serves as the co-founder of the World NGO Day Foundation, a philanthropic non-profit based in the USA. Over the past decade, Marcis has dedicated significant efforts to bilateral business economic development. He served as the co-founder, supporter, and volunteer executive director of the Latvian-British Chamber of Commerce in the UK from 2010 to 2018. In this role, he actively promoted new business opportunities between the UK, Latvia, and the Baltic states, with a focus on the Tech, Tourism, Textile, and Municipality (Smart Cities) sectors. Under his leadership, the Chamber gained recognition for its innovative approach, earning praise from the UK Prime Minister’s Investment Envoy, Mark Prisk (MP), through its global programs. In 2015, for this work, Turiba University honoured Marcis with an Honorary Degree (Hon. Causa) for outstanding contributions to International Relations and Multinational Economic Business Development.
